Doggy Daycare And The Benefits

West Toledo Animal Hospital offers boarding and daycare for your pets to keep them occupied during their stay, or throughout the day while you are at work. We allow dogs who have passed our evaluation process to play in a safe, monitored environment to keep them moving and enjoying their days. We also differ from other daycares by providing separate enrichment for our daycare dogs.

What is Enrichment?

Our enrichment program is a set of activities that stimulate your dog both mentally and physically...sometimes at the same time! This helps tire them out and keeps them healthy. Individual and group activities are available daily to help your dog grow. We work closely with our trainers to ensure your dog is being fully enriched.

Our enrichment activities include:

• Agility course work
• Dig pit
• Puzzle feeders
• Snuffle mats
  

What Do We Require for Doggy Daycare?

All dogs must be up to date on their vaccines before their evaluation and during their time at West Toledo Animal Hospital. These vaccines are:

• Bordetella (six months)
• Distemper
• Fecals
• Rabies

Dogs that are over a year old are required to be spayed or neutered. Any dogs under one year old are welcome to be evaluated for daycare without being spayed or neutered. Evaluations are done by our training staff. Once they pass, they will be admitted for daycare at our West Toldeo location.
